WOW- This exhibition is the best of Warwick's Weird and Wonderful. My favorite show to hit Warwick in awhile....
Open on Friday, Saturday & Sunday in December, 2008 for viewing at 16 Mcwen Street Gallery, just off Main Street, behind Akins Pharmacy. I will be sitting the show on December 7th 12-4PM and again on December 12th, 12-6PM - Come visit me. The nudes on music sheets are on display there.
Holiday Show at Jim Murrays Barn - This is a craft show with Jewelry and Pottery, you know, crafty items - but I will have my landscapes and the chicken prints on display. December 13th and 14th 10AM-4PM
Life Drawing at Warwick Valley Community Center - Currently we are taking a break, we are thinking about meeting during the day, in which case we need a new space.Please call if you have ideas for us. Normally we meet every Monday night from 7:00 - 9:00 with a nude model. Pose lengths vary, 1 minute progressing to 20 minutes long.. Non-instructional, bring your own supplies. $14.00 a night. ( DocFry or WVCC, 11 Hamilton Avenue)In regards to snow closings, we folow the Warwick School System. Any questions just give me a call 845-544-2606 or an e-mail - or just show up!
Painting and Drawing
We will be working in the barn until the end of Novebmber!!!! Students will explore the fundamentals of drawing, painting and composition based on direct observation. Oil painting techniques such as color mixing, paint handling, and the creation of volumetric form will
be emphasized as well as color theory and concepts such as movement, space and line.
Focusing on the Impressionists, students will continue to gain an understanding of color theory.
Students will be working from still life, sketches or their own imaginations/explorations in a light filled barn studio.
